"Education is an Atmosphere, a Discipline, a Life."
Charlotte Mason

We had a few children books about Julia in our own library and Skip and I had been reading “My Life in France” as a way to get our heads into our trip here. As I mentioned before, we watched several of her first episodes together as a family and also watched an “edited for our kids by us” version of “Julia and Julia” as a family.(edited = “hang on I have to fast forward this part”)
I think the moving back and forth between books, actual footage, and modern movies really allowed our boys to stay invested in the biography as we are serving a lot of ages and appetites. By the end of our study we even caught the boys listening along intently as we pumped our audio book all the way from Calais to Toulouse (9+ hour journey).
